One of our favorites blogs, Riverwalker's STEALTH SURVIVAL ran a terrific series recently called "DIY Survival Gear."
STEP NO. 1 ... YOUR CONTAINER
Stealth Survival says putting together a high-quality survival kit is not easy, but you can simplify the process by breaking it down into some simple steps. First thing is your container.
TIME TO GO SHOPPING
Your container should be light and small, but big enough to hold your stuff. Stealth Survival recommends one that can "hold all your gear items safely and in a manner that will protect your gear from the elements. It should also allow you a variety of carry options." They chose one that could fit in a jeans pocket, backpack or handbag.
